The former Holland international said the foul was a 'key moment' in the game and praised the Bayern winger for showing some aggression.
'For me, the key moment in the game was [Serge] Gnabry giving Neymar a little kick. That was the key moment,' he told beIN Sports.
'That was the moment where they went "Hey, now we go for it!" and I loved it when he did it because that is what you need.

'You need a little aggression and a little bit of intimidation and he showed that with that action. All of a sudden, something happened in that team. They scored the goal.'
Neymar managed to play on after appearing to be in some pain from Gnabry's challenge but could not unlock the Bayern defence in the closing stages.
He was pictured in tears after the final whistle as Kylian Mbappe and his other PSG team-mates looked dejected by the agonising defeat.
